A regional bank is moving workloads into twelve VPCs, one per business unit, while its core banking system stays in the bank's own data centre. Applications in every VPC must reach the core system over a private connection with consistent, predictable latency and bandwidth for nightly settlement files, never over the public internet. The network team wants to manage routing between all twelve VPCs and the data centre in one place rather than maintain a mesh of pairwise peering links, and servers on both sides must be able to find each other by the bank's internal DNS names. The design has to keep working as more VPCs are added.
